In My Mailbox (57) 11/6/2010

Well, yesterday I went in to get a haircut. Keep in mind that I've been wanting one for a while and I knew just what I wanted. As I walked out of the salon I wanted to cry.
I had hair down to my booty. Long long hair. My bangs were even that long. Well, I wanted my hair layered down past my shoulders. To say the least, they really messed it up and a day later and I look at myself in the mirror and I tell myself it will grow back but I hate it! Its about to my ears, my bangs are straight across (why do I even have bangs?) Of course as they were cutting it, they had set my glasses off to the side so I couldn't really see. I'd say the guy who cut it just screwed up somewhere so he kept cutting it trying to even it out. Thats my only reasoning as to why it looks like this.  If your facebook friends with me, than you've seen the pictures and you understand why I'm so upset. I'm not sure if I want to post them on here or not. I might get a lot of funny laughs. LOL.

This week I got some awesome ones! I told myself I would allow myself to buy a few books this coming week since I ended up with such a bad haircut. I'm not sure what I'm going to buy yet. I have to treat myself somehow! HAHAHA!

This week I got:

Siren by Tricia Rayburn
Heavenly by Jennifer Laurens
Penitence by Jennifer Laurens
Absolution by Jennifer Laurens
Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick
Wish by Joseph Monninger
The Lipstick Laws by Amy Holder
Mad Love by Suzanne Selfors
Timeless by Alexandra Monir
Real Live Boyfriends by E Lockhart
Kindred by Tammar Stein
Vesper by Jeff Sampson (already sent it out for tour)

What did you get this week?

Aw, I know how you feel. Bad cuts never feel good, especially when it's such a drastic change, but I'm sure you'll get used to it and be able to work your new do with time.

You got some really great books this week. The Lipstick Laws is one I especially want to read. Enjoy! :D

that sucks about the haircut. I'm glad my grandma cuts hair so I get it free and if its done wrong well i can get mad at her. :) really she does a fine job though..Anyways at least the books maybe make up for a bad haircut :)

I bought Crescendo last week too and will be reading it soon, hopefully (I'm just in the middle of Torment by Lauren Kate).

Sorry to hear about your haircut... I've had some nightmare haircuts too.

This week Over the Moon by Diane Daniels came in the mail from a contest I won. I didn't buy any books this week, but I picked up The Scorch Trials, Mistwood, The Mercy Thompson Series books, A Match Made in High School, and It's Not Summer Without You.

You had a big haul this week!

Oh man, I am so sorry about your haircut. Girl, I know how you feel. I had hair down to the small of my back and asked for 8 inches (AND ONLY 8) to be chopped off for locks of love. She cut off the 8, but the couldn't get it "quite straight enough" so she kept cutting and cutting. Before I knew it, the length was right above my shoulders and a over a foot was gone.

I started crying right then and there. I have chubby cheeks so short hair? Yeah, it accents them. Boo!

At least it'll grow back and you got some consolation goodies, right? :)

Awesome haul this week! Especially Real Live Boyfriends...love that! I am so excited for that book.

I'm sorry about your hair :( It sucks to be so excited for a haircut and then be disappointed with the outcome. Usually it takes a few days to get used to and figure out a cute way to wear it, so give yourself a few more days to figure it out :)

Here's what's in my mailbox this week!

Sorry about your haircut. I hate getting mine cut and always leave it until I can't take it anymore.

I'm sorry about your haircut! The good news is that there are so many super cute, short styles that you can rock, now! If I had the guts, I'd chop mine, too :)

You got some awesome books! That Jennifer Lauren series has caught my eye for awhile but I've just never gotten around to picking it up!

I'm sorry about your bad hair cut. Had a bad BAD perm a few days before my wedding --- I already liked my hair a month before, but my aunt insisted I should get a perm. Ugh! During honeymoon, hubby found a beauty salon that managed to cut the perm all off.
