  9. This is a super hard question. I am sure I know some books like that, though.
This time the movie Jersey Girl comes to mind. Why is it always easier for me to think of songs and movies?
And speaking of movies, I think I just thought of a book! I'm pretty sure that in "Someone Like You" by Sarah Dessen this is going on.

  34. +5 hmm.....I can only think of Zombie Queen of Newbury High(well, they didn't exactly know each other in the beginning, but then they started to fall for each other-does that count?) and I think Elsewhere by Gabrielle Zevin is one also.

  36. I'm going to second "The Declaration" by Gemma Malley, I loved it.

    And my original choice is:
"The Knife of Never Letting Go". Well actually I have two options but both are quite crap in terms of your criteria (so I understand if you don't accept this entry, but I recommend the book nonetheless).

"The Knife of Never Letting Go" by Patrick Ness introduces a character who was always taught to hate females (and that there were none of them left), so if I'm correct in remembering, the main character (a guy) was shocked when he saw a female. I believe they had an argument at some point (but it took ages before she would even speak to him). I loved this book.

    And my other choice is:
"The Thirteen Treasures" by Michelle Harrison. I can't remember all of this. But there was a guy called Fabian. The main character (a girl)always thought he was weird, a loner and clingy. But there is a reason for this. And it turns out that he really cares about her. Go on, you know you want to read it.

I think these books are more about characters that dislike each other, rather than hate each other.

Also, do you ever do Manga? If so, the two main characters from Saint Tail are complete enemies and then love each other by the end. It's a cute story, but you have to get through all 6 books to get to the love part.

Gosh, this was so hard! The minute I try to concentrate all of my ideas go poof!

  40. Just thought of another: Recipe for Disaster by Maureen Fergus. She HATES Harold at the beginning.

  41. These aren't young adult but the Anita Blake vampire hunter series has this. The guy likes Anita but she hates him, somewhere down the line they end up together, theres a lot going on and it's on the 17th book now. It's amazing.
