Must Have Gotten Lost!

Well its been more than a week since I've posted! Wow, been busy! I have gotten a lot of reading done and even a few movies.

Yes Man

Summary: Carl Allen is at a standstill. No future... Until the day he enrolls into a personal development program based on a very simple idea: say yes to everything! Carl discovers with amazement the magical power of "Yes."

My Thoughts: Loved Loved this movie! It was one of the funniest and pleasing movies I've seen in a while! It even
started out good and just got better as it went on. It reminded me a little bit of Liar Liar but I think Yes Man was even better! I have been disappointed in movies lately but this was one was good! I even found myself laughing numerous times! Now for all the books I've read over the past week and a half!

I'd Tell You I Love You But Than I'd Have To Kill You by Ally Carter

Summary: Cammie Morgan, 15, is a student at Gallagher Academy, a top-secret boarding school for girls who are spies-in-training. She studies covert operations, culture and assimilation, and advanced encryption, and has learned to speak 14 languages. Her troubles begin when she falls for Josh, a local boy who has no clue about her real identity. Keeping her training secret forces her to lie to her new love, which leads to comic complications.

My Thoughts: I had no idea what to expect going into this book. I've never really read anything with spys in it but figured I'd give it a chance because of all the good reviews! Loved this book! I really enjoyed it, and can't wait to get books 2 and 3 of the series! I loved Cammie and Josh. All the characters are truly likable and it had its funny moments! All the spy stuff was a bonus!

Lost it by Kristen Tracy Summary: Tess Whistle is having one weird junior year–she, her family, and her friends are all losing it. Her parents, born again following a serious grease fire in the kitchen, take off unexpectedly to a survival camp in the Utah desert, leaving Tess with her grandmother. Tess's best friend, Zena, reacts to her parents' marital troubles by making elaborate plans to blow up a poodle. And Tess herself, who used to be 100 percent certain that she'd wait until she was married before she had sex and is deathly afraid of the wilderness, loses her virginity out of doors with her boyfriend.

My Thoughts: I enjoyed this book but didn't love it. It felt like it dragged on for a little bit. It took a while for me to get into. I always look for teen romance books but this one lacked
a lot of romance. It had a little bit but didn't focus enough on all the little details I like. It was definately a one time read for me.

Banana Splitsville by Catherine Clark

Summary: Has he called? No.I half expected to see him at Truth or Dairy today. He's sort of addicted to Coconut Fantasy Dreams. We both are. It was like . . . our drink.I was all ready to give him the cold shoulder, easy to do when working around ice cream all day. I could give him a bad ice-cream headache, mix extra ice in his smoothie and freeze his brain.Like he could be any colder.

My Thoughts: I really did like the character of Courtney. I also loved the concept of falling for your ex-boyfriend's friend! It was a cute and fun read. And i will be reading the followup to it!

All American Girl by Meg Cabot
Summary:
While waiting for her ride home from an after-school art class, Samantha Madison, a sophomore at John Adams Preparatory School in Washington, DC, inadvertently saves the President's life by jumping on the back of a would-be assassin. Suddenly, she is a celebrity, invited to the White House for dinner, named the teen ambassador to the U.N., and revered by her fellow classmates. Yet, even her new star status doesn't allow her to get what she really wants-a date with her sister's boyfriend, Jack. Hoping to make him jealous, she asks out the President's son.

My Thoughts: Oh yes another Meg Cabot book to add to my list of favorites! This one does not disappoint. I will be ordering Ready Or Not soon, the sequel! I love young adult books, and am bummed I missed all these when I As a teenager, haha!

Simply The Best by Shirley Jump

Summary: Mack and Alex have been best friends since first grade, so naturally, after Alex finds out that her fiance is married, she turns to Mack for comfort. But things are starting to get tense between them as Mack wonders if Alex will ever see him as a man and not just a buddy. Their relationship finally changes with a blow-your-socks-off kiss, but the friends keep fighting their attraction in order to maintain their friendship

My Thoughts: Loved it! It was such a juicy awesome romance that I anxiously flipped the pages super fast! This one and Sexiest Man Alive were the books I enjoyed most this week! And the cover wasn't so bad either!

Just The Sexiest Man Alive by Julie James
Summary: In this awkward debut romance, the supposed hero's juvenile behavior sets the stage for a frustrating read that not even a sparkling final third can mitigate. Taylor Donovan, a brilliant Chicago lawyer visiting L.A. to defend a sexual harassment case, is not happy to be assigned to help heartthrob actor Jason Andrews prep for a courtroom drama. As they begin working together, Jason predictably behaves like a spoiled teenager, but becomes increasingly enchanted with Taylor. She eventually begins to see Jason as a nice guy underneath his Hollywood attitude.

My Thoughts: I absolutely love books based on Hollywood stars! Normal girl falls in love with actor! Love these kinds of books!!! Loved this book! Cute story and I had it finished within a day! Once I started I had to know what happened next!!!! Great book!

When Lightning Strikes by Meg Cabot
Summary: Jess Mastriani was misunderstood by teachers and had a crush on a local bad boy. Trouble found her when she survived a lightning strike and discovered that a newfound talent had been bestowed up her!

My Thoughts: Meg Cabot is awesome! This book was a really fast read for me, and I loved the way the guy (townies) were called grits and I loved all the characters and especially Jess! I will be looking for the rest in the series!
