The Cupcake Queen by Heather Hepler
Release Date: September 17, 2009

Summary: When her mother moves them from the city to a small town to open up a cupcake bakery, Penny’s life isn’t what she expected. Her father has stayed behind, and Mom isn’t talking about what the future holds for their family. And then there’s Charity, the girl who plays mean pranks almost daily. There are also bright spots in Hog’s Hollow—like Tally, an expert in Rock Paper Scissors, and Marcus, the boy who is always running on the beach. But just when it looks as though Penny is settling in, her parents ask her to make a choice that will turn everything upside down again

I can't wait to get my hands on this book! I adore the cover and it sounds really good!

Pride

By Rachel Vincent

Summary: I'm on trial for my life. Falsely accused of infecting my human ex-boyfriend—and killing him to cover up the crime. Infecting a human is one of three capital offenses recognized by the Pride—along with murder and disclosure of our existence to a human.

I'm two for three. A goner.

Now we've discovered a rogue stray terrorizing the mountainside, hunting a wild teenage tabbycat. It's up to us to find and stop him before a human discovers us. With my lover Marc's help, I think I can protect the vulnerable girl from both the ambitious rogue and the scheming of the territorial council.

My Thoughts: This book is great! This is the third book in her series and its as great as the other two! The storyline is pretty unique (werecats). I enjoy learning more and more about each of the characters as the books go along. I also enjoy how Faythe is a strong and indepent women. Faythe is part of a pride and they are mostly men so she learns to stick up for herself and hold down her own! I love her and Marc's chemistry. He is sort of a jerk sometimes but that attracts me to him more. He's stubborn and I just love that. If you like any sort of paranormal or even romance, this book is for you. It is really good. You will get hooked and end up staying up all night like I do when I read this series. I love Faythe and Marc together. Their relationship is intense and I enjoy that. Great great book, and great series! One of my favorites!

Overall: Great Great Book! Love this whole series! Can't wait to start the 4th book!

Cover: Totally adore the cover. Fits well! Even like the scratches along her stomach. Attractive cover!

Suite Dreams

By Rachel Hawthorne

Summary: Hello, mate!
(Practicing my Australian.* How am I doing?)

I'm so glad the timing worked out for this couch exchange. I'll be crashing on yours by the time you get to mine.** If you run into any problems, just find Alyssa. She'll help you out with whatever you need.***

Your couch-swapping mate,
Rick

*That's cute. Go have fun in Australia and leave ME—your girlfriend for an entire semester—to waste away on campus, alone.

**Um, think again. Your couch is already taken.

***Great. Now I've got to find a place for the (unbelievably hot, it turns out) Aussie to crash. But there's only one couch available: the one in my dorm room. . .

My Thoughts: Another cute book! I totally love reading Rachel Hawthorne and this was the one I have been looking forward to most! It was so cute! I liked the whole idea of a guy coming and sleeping on her couch. Its always the weirdest ways people fall in love. Especially when they least expect it or want it. I like reading about the mysterious ways love works. This was a pretty fast read but I enjoyed each and every page of it. I felt her boyfriend who arranged the couch swapping was a little bit of a jerk, but the hot Aussie that came to visit her totally made up for it. A definite read for anyone who likes romance and I definitely recommend this book. It was a light and breezy read. Aimed more at young adults but I love young adult books so I enjoyed it very much! The best out of all her books I've read so far~

Overall: Fun light easy read! Another one of Hawthorne's books I loved!

Cover: I thought the cover was really cute!

Cracked Up To Be

by Courtney Summers

Summary: Parker Fadley has it all-head cheerleader, honor roll student, Winter Ball Queen, perfect boyfriend, Chris. Then at a wild "school's out" party, she catches her friend Jessica's boyfriend kissing another girl and tells Jessica, who retaliates by hooking up with an older guy who crashed the party. The next day Jessica is missing, and Parker, suspecting that she could have done something to help her, nosedives into a downward spiral, drinking heavily, and attempting suicide in a motel room. All of this is revealed in flashback as Parker begins her senior year at her Catholic high school. She cuts class, goes to school drunk, ignores assignments, and goes out of her way to make everyone leave her alone. New guy Jake, intrigued by her self-destructive determination to be ostracized, persists in trying to get inside her head. The problem is that what's inside Parker's head is a fear she can't even admit to herself—that she knows what happened to Jessica and could have stopped it.

My Thoughts: This was a pretty quick easy read for me. I liked the character of Parker and the whole time I was wondering what exactly her secret was. Why was she acting like such a jerk to everyone even when people tried to be nice and help her out? Why did she go from being popular to this socially outcast person? It wasn't exactly what I was expecting which is good because it threw me for a loop and I don't like to know what is going to happen. I especially felt myself drawn to the character of Jake (does it help that my boyfriend's name is Jake, lol). He seemed like a really nice sweet caring guy and at first Parker was shutting his attempts at going on a date with her down, and I just wanted to them get together already. Overall, this was a good book, and worth reading. Courtney has another book coming out which is called Some Girls Are, so I will be reading that too!

Give Up The Ghost by Megan Crewe

Release Date: Sept 19, 2009

Todays pick is Give Up The Ghost by Megan Crewe. I'm really looking forward to this one!

Redneck Cinderella by LuAnn McLane

Summary: Raised by her widowed father, Jolie Russell could keep up with any man—that is, until wealthy and sexy land developer Cody Dean struts into her life.
Cody buys the Russell farm with an impossible-to-refuse multimillion-dollar offer, then relocates Jolie and her dad to the Copper Creek Estates. But the country club atmosphere isn’t ready for Jolie’s kind of country. As her two worlds collide, Jolie wonders how she can ever hope to capture Cody’s heart without giving up her grits.

My Thoughts: Another great wonderful take my breath away book. I just love these romance books and I keep finding ones that satisfy my hunger for romance. This book did just that. Cody is the guy everyone wants, his the popular, never would give me the time of day type of guy. And yet the main girl Jolie who reminds me of myself in a lot of ways goes after him even though she believes its worthless and pointless! She's a honky tonk girl who isn't into designer clothes and fancy cars while he has those things and is the town's number one bachelor. She is clumsy and shy but has enough courage to push him into the swimming pool. This book gives you that heartfelt feeling plus makes you want to burst out laughing! I have read a few other LuAnn McLane books and she is just wonderful! They are light but a lot of fun to read. This one kept me up late and night wanting to know what happens. Does Jolie end up with Cody or his super cute brother who she spends time with discussing and analyzing Cody! I definately recommend this book, its one to read in bed with a cup of hot chocolate or down at the beach getting a tan! A Must Read if you enjoy romance books!

Just wanted to tell everyone hi and I have some new reviews coming this week plus a special surprise!

Also need some help from my fellow bloggers! The other day I saw this book I wanted to remember, now I can't remember the name of it! Darn it!

The only thing I remember is it had a girl on the front, her legs at least, and she had on pink slippers. I think they were bunny slippers. Anyone have any idea what it is? I can not remember the name of it at all!!! Anyone????

EDIT: TRIN: Nope, not that book (but thanks alot now I have another book I want to read, lol)

Anyone else? I can not remember the darn name, I have been draining my brain trying to remember!!!! I'm thinking its not out yet and I saw it on a Waiting on Wed post!

EDIT: YES YAN! That is it, you found it, yay!!!! Thank you, thank you! Guess the carpet is pink, not her slippers. I'm lucky I even remember they were bunny slippers. LOL

Megan Meades Guide To The McGowan Boys

Summary: Army brat Megan Meade does not want to leave the States to follow her parents to South Korea, so, she agrees to stay with the McGowan family, where she will be the only girl among seven sons. Naturally, this causes more than a little disruption: she's accused of hooking up with Evan, makes an enemy of Doug, and falls for Finn.

My Thoughts: I got this book a few months ago and put off reading it until now! What a mistake! This is one of my new favorite books! It is so cute and adorable. The writing style is really easy to follow and the words just flow on the pages. Even with 7 boys as main characters you get to know them and get to like each one for their own unique personalities. I instantly liked it within the first 10 pages and read it all one sitting! Great book! Go get it now!!!!

Summer Boys by Hailey Abbott

Summary: It's summer. It's hot. And it's time to hook up. Cousins Ella, Beth, and Jamie are at their family's beach house for the summer, and they're gearing up for the wildest time of their lives. Sassy Ella is majorly crushing on a sexy older boy--who just happens to be her sister's new boyfriend. Meanwhile, practical Beth is surprised when she finds herself falling for her best friend George. And shy, creative Jamie gets her heart broken when her summer love abandons her. Three girls, too many boys, and some seriously stormy romances...it all adds up to one unforgettable summer.

My Thoughts: This is the first book in a series. It started out a little confusing for me but quickly picked up. There are 3 girls and it was hard to distinguish between them. I kept having to flip to the back of the book to remember who was who. The three guys in the book I had no problem remembering. But they had very easy names for me to remember and they were each so different. The girls are cousins and each one has their own distinct personality but their names I had a hard time remembering. By the end of the book I knew who was who and could keep each story straight. We learned a little bit about each girl and their relationships. This book is definitely a light summer read. One you would take to the beach and enjoy it with a best friend or while your scooping out a love interest. I related to Beth the most. She reminded me a lot of myself. I also felt more connected to the boy she was crushing on. I also like the cover. It is plain but just the right kind of plain. We see the girl in clear focus and the boy is faded into the background. It also fits the book because the story takes place in a beach area. This book didn't take too much serious thought but was a fun read. I will be definitely be reading the rest of the series once I get my hands on them.

Push

Summary:
Two young Americans with special abilities must race to find a girl in Hong Kong before a shadowy government organization called Division does.

My Thoughts: I enjoyed watching this movie. It reminded me a lot of Jumper though. I liked seeing the abilities they had. I also liked seeing Chris Evans (I adore him) and it was neat seeing Dakota Fanning as a teenager. I really liked her character too! Those were my two reasons for watching it, Dakota and Chris! This movie is a good movie and I'm glad I did watch it. It is definitely a rent movie, but you have to really sit down and watch it or else it would be really easier to get lost on what is going on.

Too Good To Be True by Kristan Higgins

Summary: When Grace Emerson's ex-fiancé starts dating her younger sister, extreme measures are called for. To keep everyone from obsessing about her love life, Grace announces that she's seeing someone. Someone wonderful. Someone handsome. Someone completely made up. Who is this Mr. Right? Someone…exactly unlike her renegade neighbor Callahan O'Shea. Well, someone with his looks, maybe. His hot body. His knife-sharp sense of humor. His smarts and big heart.Whoa. No. Callahan O'Shea is not her perfect man! Not with his unsavory past. So why does Mr. Wrong feel so…right?

My Thoughts: I picked this book up because of the cover. I absolutely adore the cover but once I read the back of the book I knew it was a must read. Maybe it was their feet that I found so cute or the way he is holding her! I'm a romance junkie! This is an amazing book! Once I started it I could not put it down, reading it long hours into the night! Grace is devastated to find out her sister is dating her ex-fiance and in the heat of the moment tells her family she has a new honey! She gets a new neighbor who has a sketchy past, such a sketchy past that he's been in prison and knows how to handle himself! This is the typical good girl falling for bad guy.... but is he really a bad guy??? If you enjoy romance and have ever been to the place where you needed to make up a boyfriend or had a crush on a cute neighbor (haven't we all?), than this is the book you HAVE to read!!!! I loved it!!!!
