Dead Is The New Black by Marlene Perez

Summary: Nightshade, CA, is downright strange and full of the unexpected. When the girl-to-be, cheerleader Samantha Devereaux, begins the school year with a completely new look, Daisy Giordano gets suspicious. The fact that Samantha appears dead doesn't seem to bother anyone, and before long looking dead becomes the rage. Being dead takes on a whole new meaning when a girl is mysterious attacked and turns up in the morgue, and other cheerleaders are stricken with seizures. Daisy and her psychic sisters get to work investigating the goings-on and learn that the culprit is really a vampire, and Daisy is determined to get to the bottom of things.

My Thoughts: This was a fun light read. It only took me a day to read, split up into little shifts of reading. I liked the character of Samantha a lot and I really like Ryan. Theres a new vampire in town who is basically feeding off energy and Samantha must find out who it is!!! There isn't a whole lot of depth to this story but that is what makes it so special. You do not get confused, its easy to read and would be good for anyone! Its a smaller book so easy to carry in your bookbag or purse. So far, there are 3 books out in this series. Not to mention as of right now this book is under $3.00 on amazon so run right over there and buy it now!!

Overall: Great Book! Fun read! Would be good for a young adult, even a really young adult. it's under 200 pages so its something anyone can read. Or a older person as well, its a cute book! If you like vampires or you just like a little bit of mystery with some romance this is the book for you!

Cover: It has a creative cover. When I picked it up, I had no clue what it would be about. But I'm glad I gave it a chance. I partically like the pink cover but I also love the color pink!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Your blog is so great, I don't know what I like the best, your header picture, which makes my morning oatmeal look blech and makes me crave a cupcake. Or is it your review rating system...5 cupcakes..that's awesome. Or maybe it's your great reviews! Nice site!
