You Are So Undead To Me

by Stacey Jay

Summary:

Megan Berry is a Zombie Settler by birth, which means she's part-time shrink to a whole bunch of semi-dead people with killer issues. All Megan really wants is to go to homecoming, but when you're trailed by a bunch of slobbering corpses whenever you leave the house, it's kinda hard to score a date. Let's just say Megan's love life could use some major resuscitation.

Megan's convinced her life can't get any worse - until someone in school starts using black magic to turn average, angsty Undead into scary, hardcore flesh-eating Zombies. Now it's up to Megan to stop the Zombie apocalypse. Her life - and more importantly, the homecoming dance - depends on it.

My Thoughts: First off, I'll start by saying I don't read too many zombie books. Usually I'm just not into the whole zombie thing. I prefer vampires to zombies, ghosts, etc. We meet Megan who finds out she is a zombie settler. What does that mean exactly? Its her job to put zombies back into the ground after they tell her their "unresolved issues." As she realizes this, someone has started using black magic so she's in all loads of trouble. She just wants to go to Homecoming and be normal. I really liked Megan. I could identify with her. We also meet Monica who is Megan's complete opposite, but she is also a zombie settler. But Monica is popular and kind of stuck up. Megan goes out on her first real date with popular guy Josh Pickle. We are meet Jess, Megan's best friend for 5 years. And she runs into old friend Ethan who is 3 years older than her and has been putting zombies down for a while now. She hasn't seen him since they were kids. The chemistry between Megan and Ethan is hot! From the minute they layed eyes on each other I wanted them to get together. In my opinion this book was really good and me saying that about a zombie book means I really enjoyed it a lot. Its fast paced and I love the way we got to know the characters. What happens do Megan and Monica? Do they become friends or stay enemies? What about Ethan? What about Josh?

Overall: Loved it. My first zombie book I loved. I liked Megan and I adored Ethan.

Cover: Its nice and I like the way she has her foot on a skeleton head.

What I'd Give It:

Woah, I guess I'm going to have to read this one. I was sort of unsure about a zombie book, but great review, you've got me convinced. And, lol, I thought her foot was on a soccer ball! Oops.
