Summary: Someone's been a very bad zombie.

Kate Grable is horrified to find out that the football coach has given the team steroids. Worse yet, the steriods are having an unexpected effect, turning hot gridiron hunks into mindless flesh-eating zombies. No one is safe--not her cute crush Aaron, not her dorky brother, Jonah . . . not even Kate!

She's got to find an antidote--before her entire high school ends up eating each other. So Kate, her best girlfriend, Rocky, and Aaron stage a frantic battle to save their town  . . . and stay hormonally human.

My Thoughts: Vampires? I Love! Werewolfs? So-So. Angels? Hot! Demons? Even Hotter! Faeries? Adore. Zombies? Meh. As you can tell, I'm not generally a fan of zombies. I don't read many zombie books. Usually zombies are flesh eating, stinky, yucky things. In Bad Taste In Boys, we get zombies, plus football, plus romance, so its a book I had to check out!

We are introduced to Kate who is super smart. She wants to be a doctor once she's out of high school so being the football team student trainer seemed like a good opportunity for Kate. Kate knows what its like have something wrong with her medically too. She has seizures and its been a year since she has had one. So of course she gets to do normal things now, like have her license and drive a car! Yay!

Kate lives with her family which includes her mother, father, and her brother Jonah. Her mom is away a lot on business though so she chats wit her through video conference every week.

Kate has a crush on the star quarterback Aaron. Of course Aaron has to have an annoying best friend who likes to tease Kate. His name is Mike. She has a hard time forming two words to say to Aaron. She's shy around him and figures he doesn't know she exists.  One day, Kate is putting away supplies in the coach's office and stumbles upon unlabeled vials. What could they be, she asks herself? She is usually the one who assists labeling anything so of course it sparks her curiosity and she pledges to find out whats in them.

Over the course of the next few weeks, she does everything in her power to figure out what they are. But in the process, some of the football players and townspeople are turning into black puking zombies!!!! What is Kate going to do? It gets real bad when Kate starts having seizures again, and her brother is puking up black stuff.

What happens next? Will Kate find a cure before its too late? Will she ever tell Aaron how she really feels? Can football be saved? Will her brother be ok? Read the book to find out.

I won't say much else or I'll give away the whole book. Its barely 200 pages so no more spoilers from me! If you like zombies, I recommend this book.

Overall: I actually enjoyed Bad Taste In Boys. I tend to stay away from zombies, but I'm glad I checked this one out. It was very interesting.

Cover: The cover is AMAZING. It definitely sparked my interest the moment I laid eyes on it! The lips on it are neat!

I'm a huge zombie fan, but I think Bad Taste in Boys is a great book for those that are hesitant about zombies, or newbies to the genre. Glad you enjoyed it!
