Summary: Daphne is the new girl in town and is having trouble fitting in. At least she has Jesse... sort of. He wants to be more than "just friends," but there's something he's not telling her about his past. Something dangerous. When a female student is brutally attacked, police turn to PROFILE, a new program that can predict a student's capacity for drug use, pregnancy, and violent behavior, to solve the case. As the witch hunt ensues, Daphne is forced to question her feeling

My Thoughts: Alright, so when I heard about this book, I thought to myself, hmm that could be interesting.

It was interesting but also very very weird. It was one of those books you think you know what will happen when you first start but by the middle, you've changed your mind and have no real clue.

We are introduced to Daphne who just came from Minnesota to a new school. She lives with her mom Melissa. Melissa worked on the project that seals the fate of the students of this school. On her first day of school, there is a boy with a gun in the school, what kind of luck is that? These things always happen to her. She seems to be accident prone. She also meets a really cute boy named Jesse, who shoves her in the closet and protects her.

Things move pretty fast for Daphne. The popular girls befriend her but she sees everyone around her for what they really are. She knows how "fake" these popular people are, and she sees that the less popular crowd are also "okay people."

She also finds out that the project her mom worked on has been established in this school. The kids were tested to find out what they would do in the future. This program predicts if they will get pregnant, commit violent crimes, and what exactly they will do down the road. They are called "The Predicteds." It basically makes the kids who are on the list outcasts. Nobody wants to be around them, everyone is scared of them.  Of course who has to be on the list? Its her luck again. Jesse. The boy Daphne has taken a liking too. He is predicted to commit a violent crime. Jesse is best friends with another girl and I wondered through the whole book if something was really going on between the two of them.

I'll only say a few more things about this one because I want you to read everything else for yourself.

I liked some of the characters while others I really hated. Some of them just got under my skin and I wanted them to go away. I always liked Jesse and Daphne together though. There were some quirky funny lines throughout the book. The person who turns out to be the worst, I always predicted from the get go. I had a sour taste in my mouth from the first time I met him.

The Predicteds is a good book, a little different, but good in its own way.

What Are You Predicted For? Would you even want to know?

Overall: Really liked it a lot. This is one not everyone will enjoy. Its kind of creepy in a way. Its kind of dark in a way. Its something that not everyone will "get."  How many of you would really want to know what your future holds?

Cover: It's very white! I like how we can see half of her face, it makes it look mysterious.

What I'd Give It:
