My Thoughts: Another awesome book by Hunter! I really enjoyed Born At Midnight so I was happy to read Awake At Dawn. I wanted to know what was going to happen with Kylie.

We are back in Kylie’s life at the camp. Things are finally starting to calm down, at least for a while. Kylie has her best friends; the witch and the vampire. She has her two guys; Derek and Lucas. In Awake At Dawn, Kylie is finding out more and more about herself. She is becoming "bigger" her senses seem to be heightened. She can hear things from a far distance. She can see ghosts. Her life is nothing but complicated.

Awake At Dawn focuses on Kylie’s new abilities, helping her friends get through tough times, trying to make peace with her stepdad while trying to find out more about her real dads background, and trying to decide which boy she likes more. Derek is around throughout the novel and Kylie is "seeing" him. Lucas is off doing his own business so he's not around too much during the first half of the book. That was a bit disappointing. I kept waiting and waiting for him to show up!

Honestly, I'm not sure what to say here. I like Derek, and I like Lucas. Can she just be with them both please? Just kidding. I like them both so much I'm torn between who I want her to actually be with. Gosh they are so special in their own way.

I also liked the friendship with Sara and how that went down.

This book was so funny at times! I loved her cat socks and what he turned into! It was so darn adorable. The way Hunter described Socks cuddling up with Kylie made me want a kitten.

Awake At Dawn was really good; not quite as good as the first one in my opinion but I still enjoyed it a lot. There is just something about this camp and band of misfits that I love.

Overall: I really enjoyed Awake At Dawn and can't wait to read the 3rd one. I want to know "what" she is and who she ends up with! Bring it on!

Cover: Like it a lot. I love the waterfall and the way the girl is just standing there. Its awesome.

What I'd Give It:
