Summary: Luis Fuentes has always been sheltered from the gang violence that nearly destroyed his brothers’ lives. But that didn’t stop him from taking risks—whether he’s scaling a mountain in the Rockies or dreaming of a future as an astronaut, Luis can’t stop looking for the next thrill.

Nikki Cruz lives her life by three rules—boys lie to get their way, don’t trust a boy who says “I love you,” and never date a boy from the south side of Fairfield. Her parents may be from Mexico, but as a doctor’s daughter, she has more in common with her north-side neighbors than the Latino Blood at her school. Then she meets Luis at Alex’s wedding, and suddenly, she’s tempted to break all her rules.
Getting Nikki to take a chance on a southsider is Luis’s biggest challenge, until he finds himself targeted by Chuy Soto, the new head of the Latino Blood. When Chuy reveals a disturbing secret about Luis’s family, the youngest Fuentes finds himself questioning everything he’s ever believed to be true. Will his feelings for Nikki be enough to stop Luis from entering a dark and violent world and permanently living on the edge?:

My Thoughts: I have to be honest, as much as I loved loved Perfect Chemistry and Rules Of Attraction, I loved Chain Reaction just as much! Although I didn't feel as connected to Nikki as I did with Brit and Kiara I still enjoyed her presence in the story.

We are introduced to Luis, youngest brother of the Fuentes brothers. We have seen him throughout the other two books but we never really got to know him.

The story starts out at Carlo's wedding where Nikki and Luis meet and have a not so fun encounter. Flash forward two years and the family is back in Illinois and Luis walks in on the first day of school and sees Nikki. Nikki has been through hell and back in the past 2 years and has shut herself off to guys. She won't date another "bad boy" again. She's done with it. She won't date someone like Luis. She has two principles now; don’t trust a boy who says “I love you,” and never date a boy from the south side of Fairfield. Luis is ready to change that. Luis and Nikki are drawn together and they have the chemistry going on between them.

But of course as with all if Elkeles books, there has to be obstacles in their way. They both have their own problems and dilemma's going on. Luis is being recruited into Latino Blood and Nikki is trying to stay away from boys like him. Plus he's friends with her ex-boyfriend.

I love the family dynamic, I love seeing the brothers together talking and playing games. I like seeing how involved their mother is in in their life. I loved seeing Carlos and Alex and how their relationships are working out.

Never a dull moment just like the other two in this series, Chain Reaction is a hit. Its romantic, intense, and full of naughty.

Its steamy, sexy, hot, how many other words can I describe this novel with? Love!

Come on, if your reading this review, you better have started this series. If you haven't you need to buy these three books right away? Please please do!  I want to go on and on about this book but I'm going to leave it at this.... I'm in love.....

Overall: Loved it! Elkeles is one of my favorite authors and I can't wait to see what kind of series she will write next!

Cover: Oh my gosh! And I thought Rules Of Attraction was hot! This may be even hotter! Gorgeous, and the shower scene, does really happen!!!

What I'd Give It:

Fabulous review! I still haven't started this series despite all the raving reviews. It's not normally my type of book, but I think I HAVE to give this series a try!
