Summary: The last night of summer is only the beginning.

Skye wants to meet the boy who will change her life forever. Seth feels their instant connection the second he sees her. When Seth starts talking to Skye at the last beach party of the summer, it’s obvious to both of them that this is something real. But when Seth leaves for college before they exchange contact info, Skye wonders if he felt the same way she did—and if she will ever see him again. Even if they find their way back to each other, can they make a long-distance relationship work despite trust issues, ex drama, and some serious background differences?

Teen favorite Susane Colasanti returns to the alternating-voice style of her beloved debut When It Happens in this Serendipity-inspired story about summer, soul mates, and the moments that change our lives forever.

My Thoughts: I seriously love this author. When her books come out, I jump for joy. Must always buy her books.

We are introduced to Skye and Seth who are both amazing characters. Skye was a hopeless romantic and Seth had been damaged but he’s doing pretty well. He was hurt by his ex girlfriend and Skye just wants to fall in love, with the right boy.  When they meet on summer vacation, things couldn’t be more perfect. Except, they don’t exchange contact info so they have no way of finding each other after the summer. They don’t even know each others last name. The whole year leaps by and nothing.

Than they find each other during summer and once again their romance starts back up. They are happy with each other. We get to experience so many firsts with them. Seth in college, Skye visiting him, so many different things.

I really liked both Seth and Skye but I was a little bit turned off with the insta love thing. I know they had a connection but I felt like they fell for one another to quickly. This one does take place over the course of three years even though it goes by fast and it doesn’t feel like quite that long.  I also really liked the scenes from summer, enjoying snow cones, walking around, and going to the roller rink.

The writing also felt very young on this one. I’m not really sure why, it just felt younger.  I did like Skye and Seth as characters. I really really liked Seth. I enjoyed watching him deal with things and I enjoyed his personality a lot. He was a sweet guy.

All in all, All I Need was a sweet book but not my absolute favorite. And that is ok. I’m not going to love every single one I read by each author.
Overall:  I enjoyed All I Need but it wasn’t my favorite Colasanti book. I’m still a big fan of hers and will read whatever she writes, this one just wasn’t the best one for me I guess. Probably would give this more like 3 and half cupcakes.

Cover: I do love the cover! Love the beach, and love how he is picking her up. Very romantic!

I didn't think it was quite insta-love as they did get to know each other-it was just hard because the timeline was compressed in one book.
