Summary:  A Throne of Glass novella.

On a remote island in a tropical sea, Celaena Sardothien, feared assassin, has come for retribution. She’s been sent by the Assassin’s Guild to collect on a debt they are owed by the Lord of the Pirates. But when Celaena learns that the agreed payment is not in money, but in slaves, her mission suddenly changes—and she will risk everything to right the wrong she’s been sent to bring about.

My Thoughts:  This was a fun and exciting little novella. I read Throne Of Glass before I even knew this novella existed and I’m fine with that. I’m glad I read it afterwards. Yes, it can be a good start up but I’m glad I already know Celaena while reading these novellas.

This one focuses on getting to know Celaena and Sam. Celaena works for a man I really did not like very much. She also has to go on a trip with Sam to encounter a pirate and make a deal with him for the Assassins Guild. I really did not like the pirate! He’s annoying. Celaena is pretty young in this one, just 16 but she’s still badass!

I liked the snarkiness between her and Sam. They had some great chemistry even if they didn’t really know it, and I liked how in Celaena’s heart, she knew what was right and wrong.

This was a fun and short read. I finished it real fast and I will eventually get to the other ones, even if just to learn more about Sam. HEHE.

Overall:  Liked it. I’ll be reading the rest of them very soon. It was interesting enough to want to know what happens.

Cover:  Its ok, not really big on colors or anything really. Just kind of “there.”
