Summary: Stolen as a child from her large and loving family, and on the run with her mom for more than ten years, Callie has only the barest idea of what normal life might be like. She's never had a home, never gone to school, and has gotten most of her meals from laundromat vending machines. Her dreams are haunted by memories she’d like to forget completely. But when Callie’s mom is finally arrested for kidnapping her, and Callie’s real dad whisks her back to what would have been her life, in a small town in Florida, Callie must find a way to leave the past behind. She must learn to be part of a family. And she must believe that love--even with someone who seems an improbable choice--is more than just a possibility.

Trish Doller writes incredibly real teens, and this searing story of love, betrayal, and how not to lose your mind will resonate with readers who want their stories gritty and utterly true.

My Thoughts: This is my first Trish Dollar! Yep, I haven’t read the others even though I need too!  We are introduced to Callie who has been on the run with her mom since she was a little girl. Her mom kidnapped her basically and she has never really known her father. They move around a lot so Callie has never really had much of anything to call her own. She’s never had any real friends or real actual belongings.

Until one day they get pulled over and that creates a whirlwind of events to start happening. Her mom goes to jail and Callie goes to live with her father. She meets a lot of family she never really even knew existed.

And she also meets a boy.  Oh, and the boy. He is charming, cute, adorable, but some people think of him as a player and warn Callie to stay away.

Callie grows so much in this novel, she finally has a real family, and she gets treated with respect and love. Her mom loved her of course but not quite in the same way as her father does.

I really loved this one a lot. I can’t wait to read more by Trish! It was a really fast read because it was so addicting. This novel was about love, family, happiness, change, and a million other good things. I want to say so many things about this one, but I’ll leave you with this, GO BUY IT the first chance you get!

Overall: Loved it! A favorite of 2013. Just what I was in the mood for. Charming and adorable. I was rooting for Callie the whole time! She was a tough girl with a sweet heart.

Cover: Love it! Its kinda sweet and adorable in a way that makes you want to go lay under the stars! LOL

What I'd Give It:
