Summary:Never, ever cry...

Seventeen-year-old Eureka won't let anyone close enough to feel her pain. After her mother was killed in a freak accident, the things she used to love hold no meaning. She wants to escape, but one thing holds her back: Ander, the boy who is everywhere she goes, whose turquoise eyes are like the ocean.

And then Eureka uncovers an ancient tale of romance and heartbreak, about a girl who cried an entire continent into the sea. Suddenly her mother's death and Ander's appearance seem connected, and her life takes on dark undercurrents that don't make sense.

Can everything you love be washed away?

My Thoughts: Wow, I didn’t think I’d enjoy this one as much as I did! I really did and even though it was over 400 pages, I raced right threw it finishing it within a few days!

We are introduced to Eureka who just lost her mother. She ends up living with her father, his wife, and her two little siblings.  Things can’t be easy for Eureka. Her mother died in a supposed accident.

She also has two best friends named Cat and Brooks. I liked Cat. She was so spunky! I also liked Brooks most of the time. I could tell he and Eureka had feelings for each other but neither one wanted to really do anything about it. Scared of losing their friendship!

One day a mysterious boy hits Eureka's car. This starts a chain of events. His name is Ander and he knows Eureka quite well. He’s been watching her through her entire life. His mission; to eventually kill her! Eek!!!

Eureka isn’t who we think she is, or even what she thinks of herself. She’s a powerful person and she was taught at a young age not to cry thankfully! She’s never really cried and that is what has kept things stable.

Teardrop is a very complex book. There is so much going on I don’t even want to attempt to describe it. I just don’t want to give away spoilers. I loved this one, and I loved finding out every little detail and how it all adds up. To me, this was a wonderful book and I can’t believe I have never read anything by Kate before.

I loved discovering Eureka and Ander’s back-story. I loved how everything went down, but most of all, now I need the next book. I need to know what happens next.

This one had it all for me. Happy moments, cheery moments, but also lots of sad moments. I felt for Eureka. I understood her.

I also did really like Ander. It took a few minutes for him to grow on me but by the end, I was rooting for him alright.

Overall: Loved this one! Can’t wait to find out what happens next! I wish the next one was already released! Don’t you? I loved the plot and I loved all the characters!

Cover: Its pretty! I love the blue colors. Cute!!
