Summary:  In a sizzling prequel novella to her new series THE DARK ELEMENTS, #1 New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout draws readers into the extraordinary, irresistible world of Wardens and demons.
Dez wasn't just Jasmine's crush. A gargoyle Warden like Jas, he helped her come to terms with her destiny—fending off demons and maintaining balance between good and evil. He was her everything...right until the moment he disappeared without a trace. It didn't help that Jas's father had just announced that she and Dez would one day be mated. Hard not to take that personally.
And now he's back, three years older, ten times hotter, ready to pick up exactly where they left off. But Jas isn't taking that risk again. Dez has seven days to meet all her conditions and earn back her trust. Seven days filled with terrifying danger and sweet temptation. Seven days to win her heart—or shatter it all over again...

My Thoughts: This was really short so I finished within an hour or so. We are introduced to Dez and Jasmine who haven’t seen each other in a few years. He comes back for her and wants to start right where they left off. They were promised to each other and were to be married before he split.

Jasmine isn’t too happy about this. It was hard on her when he left. She promises to give him seven days to change her mind and they go on some adventures together. We also meet two other characters who I really liked. Zayne and Layla. They were a riot and I enjoyed them a lot! Gargoyles will be interesting to read about, that is for sure!

Quite a bit happened in this one, even though it was so short which was good but it also felt a bit rushed. I’m glad I read it though before I start White Hot Kiss!

Overall: I liked it! It was short but an interesting premise to a new story!

Cover: Its sweet! Like the colors! And the way he’s kissing her!

What I'd Give It:

Sounds like a normal novella. Happens too fast and not a lot of information is given. I hope the full length book brings about more.

Thanks for the great review!
