Summary: When Julia Buchanan enrolls at St. Anne’s at the beginning of junior year, Charlotte Ryder already knows all about the former senator’s daughter. Most people do... or think they do.

Charlotte certainly never expects she’ll be Julia’s friend. But almost immediately, she is drawn into the larger than-life-new girl’s world—a world of midnight rendezvous, dazzling parties, palatial vacation homes, and fizzy champagne cocktails. And then Charlotte meets, and begins falling for, Julia’s handsome older brother, Sebastian.

But behind her self-assured smiles and toasts to the future, Charlotte soon realizes that Julia is still suffering from a tragedy. A tragedy that the Buchanan family has kept hidden … until now.

My Thoughts:  This one has gotten some amazing reviews. It seems like a lot of people really enjoyed it. I just liked it, that's all.

We are introduced to Charlotte who goes to a private school. She hangs out with her friends, isn’t really a popular girl, just normal. She ends up helping out a fellow classmate named Julia. Everyone knows Julia. She’s popular and everybody wants to hang out with her. Well, when Charlotte gets in with her crowd things start looking up for her, so she thinks.

She also meets Julia’s brother Sebastian and develops a crush on him.

As Charlotte starts to get closer to the whole family, she realizes a lot of things.

I just couldn’t connect with any of the characters in this one, and I wasn't too into the plot either. I don’t know, it was ok, I’m glad I finished it but it had a hard time pulling me in and keeping me interested.

Overall:  I just liked it ok. I didn’t really feel anything for any of the characters in this one. Maybe it was my reading mood or whatever, but I just didn’t feel this novel like I wanted too. I've heard lots of good things about it so hopefully you’ll enjoy it more than I did. I am glad I finished it and gave it a chance though.

Cover: Love the cover. I would definitely pick it up to see what it is is about! Love how they are standing! Cute cover!

What I’d Give It:
