So, today is Friday the 13th! I like to think I have good luck on Friday the 13th, what about you? Do you believe in the bad luck myth?

I have tons of reviews planned, a few contests, and some interviews! You will see more and more paranormal/romance reviews here at Princess Bookie, but I will still mainly focus on Young Adult. I love Young Adult books but hey other things deserve to be read too!

My Thoughts: Another adventure from the Gallagher Girls! Cammie is back with her friends! I was a little bummed after the first book, when she couldn't be with Josh but now a bunch of boys are coming to the school and it will will no longer be a girl's school for the time being. Cammie meets Zach, one of the boys from the other school. She instantly tries to dislike him but theres definitely chemistry there! I instantly liked him! I love the adventures the girls go on, I loved the awkward moments when Cammie sees her ex Josh in town, I love the spy missions they need to get through. I love this whole series! I can't wait to read the third book! I really hope Zach is in the next book but I refuse to read any spoilers.

Overall: Loved Loved Loved it!

What I'd Give It:

Jumping Off Swings by Jo Knowles

Summary: Ellie remembers how the boys kissed her. Touched her. How they begged for more. And when she gave it to them, she felt loved. For a while anyway. My Thoughts: Jumping Off Swings is the story of Ellie, Josh, Caleb, and Corinne. It is told in alternating viewpoints. I thought that would bug me but it didn't. It was evident whose thoughts we were experimenting which is great. It was easy to follow. Each character wants something. We meet Ellie who just wants everyone to like her, to even love her. She wants to be accepted. We meet Josh who just wants to be cool. He was a virgin and he just wants all the guys to respect him. We meet Caleb who seems like a nice guy overall. Than we meet Corinne who is Ellie's best friend. She was a pretty good friend throughout the book. Ellie starts to hook up with a bunch of guys and they all leave her feeling the same way. Used and unloved. Than the unthinkable happens. She gets pregnant!!! We see the story through their viewpoints and learn how each person feels. I won't say much else or you will get spoilers. Great story, beautifully written.

Overall: Interesting and kept my attention. I know a lot of girls go through what Ellie did. Its rough today. I think all teens should read this, rather they are thinking about making love or just want to know what happens to Ellie. There are a lot of emotions in this book! Some smiles, some tears, some oh nos! whats going to happen? I feel for Ellie. I really do. I wasn't 100% happy with the ending, but that is probably because I like the cookie cutter great ending. But it fits the story good and is realistic. Most of the time things don't go as planned though and we cope with the situations that come our way. Overall, it was a great story about loss, love, emotions, pregnancy, boys, girls, etc.

Cover: I think the cover is cute. The way she is on the swings. It will make more sense when you pick up the book.

Hollywood Is Like High School With Money

Summary: Twenty-four-year old Taylor Henning has just landed her dream job as an assistant at a major movie studio. The thing is, Taylor wasn't exactly a social butterfly in high school-how is she supposed to do any better the second time around?


That's when she meets her boss's popular sixteen-year-old daughter Quinn, and has an epiphany: maybe this teenager can teach her how to use her queen bee tactics to succeed in the Hollywood popularity contest. Quinn comes up with a plan to teach Taylor one lesson a week-everything from "Fake it 'til you make it" to "It's *never* your fault"--and soon Taylor finds herself winning the war against rival assistant Kylie. Until, that is, she's directed to steal Kylie's boyfriend, and something happens that's not in the game plan: Taylor falls for the guy. Now she must do the impossible-- harness her inner mean girl while staying true to herself.

My Thoughts: I read the book description of this book and thought I would like it. I like to read about the Hollywood scene and it seemed like a fun book I'd enjoy. And boy was I right! We meet Taylor who comes from a small town to Hollywood. She just wants to make movies and succeed. She wants to enjoy what she is doing. She has had a penpal for years now, but he has never written her back! She keeps sending him postcards along the journey to Hollywood. She than realizes that Hollywood is just like High School, the snobby people sit with the snobby people, you have to be cool to fit in, etc. She turns to her boss's daughter for help. The daughter steps in and starts giving her lessons on how to make it work. One of the lessons is steal the mean girl's boyfriend. And she does. But things don't work out smoothly and Taylor learns a lot of lessons along the way. I would haved liked to see more of Kylie's boyfriend but he was in the book just "enough." I liked all the lessons, I liked all the characters (except Kylie of course). I especially liked her "pen pal" and the way that situation worked out. If you want to know more, go read the book! I highly recommend it!

Overall: Loved this book! It was so good. And entertaining. And right up my alley! Loved It!
