Summary: Most high school sports teams have rivalries with other schools. At Hamilton High, it's a civil war: the football team versus the soccer team. And for her part,Lissa is sick of it. Her quarterback boyfriend, Randy, is always ditching her to go pick a fight with the soccer team or to prank their locker room. And on three separate occasions Randy's car has been egged while he and Lissa were inside, making out. She is done competing with a bunch of sweaty boys for her own boyfriend's attention

Then Lissa decides to end the rivalry once and for all: She and the other players' girlfriends go on a hookup strike. The boys won't get any action from them until the football and soccer teams make peace. What they don't count on is a new sort of rivalry: an impossible girls-against-boys showdown that hinges on who will cave to their libidos first. But what Lissa never sees coming is her own sexual tension with the leader of the boys, Cash Sterling...

My Thoughts: Wow, Wow, Wow! As most of you know, I loved The Duff! Loved Loved! So when I heard about Shut Out, I was beyond excited. I couldn't wait to get my hands on it! I was so pumped up for it!

Shut Out was just as good as The Duff in my opinion. I loved it. I devoured it. I ate it up like candy!

We are introduced to Lissa who is the girlfriend of Randy, quarterback of the football team. Lissa lost her mother at a young age, lives with her father whose in a wheelchair and her older brother.

Lissa was used to taking care of everyone and she wanted everything to be perfect. Yet, perfect wasn't what her boyfriend Randy was. Randy was an ass, plain and simple. He expected sex out of Lissa and pressured her more than once. Maybe she didn't always "see" it as clear as it was, but she was being pressured.

Than there is Chloe, Lissa's best friend. Loved her! She was outspoken and a loud mouth but it made her who she is.

All Lissa wanted was to spend time with her boyfriend without getting interrupted. The schools football and soccer team had a rivalry against each other for years. The funny part, isn't different schools supposed to have the rivalries? haha

Lissa wanted to stop the rivalry so she gets the girlfriends of the teams together to initiate a sex strike. Yes, you read that right! The girls will hold out on anything sexual to get the boys to stop fighting.

In the process, Randy messes up and does the unthinkable and Lissa finds herself attracted to another guy.

Whose the other guy you wonder? Cash of the soccer team. Talk about turning the tables! I adored Cash. He was sweet, charming, and actually caring. I was instantly drawn to Cash and loved each and every scene with him.

I want to go on and on about how great Cash is, but I want you to read the book and find out for yourself. Hot, sexy, and totally my type of sweetheart for a guy.

All the girls and guys start to get desperate and just want the strike to end but there are more events that take place and not everything goes as smoothly as they hoped.

Lissa learns how to chill out, grow up, and start to realize there are more things to life than trying to control everything.

Overall: Loved it! Is it as good as The Duff? I've seen some people say yes and some say no. I vote on Yes. Its a little bit different but I enjoyed it just as much and read it in one setting. This is the kind of bookI love to read and I want more of!

Cover: Oh its awesome! I love the girls face, and I love the marks under her eyes! I even like how distinct her eyes and lips are.

What I'd Give It:
