Summary: You’re probably wondering how I ended up here. I’m still wondering the same thing.
Olivia, Kelly, Christopher, Jason, and Eva have one thing in common: They're addicts. Addicts who have hit rock bottom and been stuck together in rehab to face their problems, face sobriety, and face themselves. None of them wants to be there. None of them wants to confront the truths about their pasts. And they certainly don’t want to share their darkest secrets and most desperate fears with a room of strangers. But they'll all have to deal with themselves and one another if they want to learn how to live. Because when you get that high, there's nowhere to go but down, down, down.

My Thoughts: I really thought Clean sounded interesting when I read the description. I read Reed's other book and enjoyed it.

Clean just didn't do it for me. I only gave it 100 pages before I gave up and I'd say that was nice of me. I just didn't like the five different prospective and how we jumped around every other sentence/paragraph. I think the best part that I read was where each person told their story of the first time they did drugs. The rest of the 100 pages I just didn't care for and I didn't care for any of the characters.

They all sounded the same and I couldn't tell the different between any of them. I had to reread the names a few times to try to remember whose prospective I was reading from. Clean just wasn't the book for me.

Overall: You might like it more than me if you enjoy books that bounce around from character to character. I have this philosophy that there are so many books in this world I want to read if the first 100 pages don't grab me, I'll set the book down and start reading another one instead. Reading is about reading what interests you. You might enjoy Clean more than I did.

I gave this book 2 cupcakes because I did not finish it and wouldn't feel right about giving it 1 (since 1's are reserved for books I completely hate). Maybe it got better after the first 100 pages. I don't know. I know I can't like every single book I read so this is one of the few I disliked and couldn't get into. Just wasn't the book for me. Hope you like it more!

Cover: The cover is alright. Its plain but the girl brings a little spark to it.

The description on this one makes it sound really good. I might check this one out. Thanks for reviewing it even though you weren't a fan. I like to see the positives and the negatives before diving into a book.

I agree the description sounds good. I have a hard time with many different points of view as well.

It's too bad this was a DNF. I have a hard time doing that! lol completely the opposite. I'm a fan of multiple POV's so I'm curious how I'll feel about it.

The synopsis made this one sound pretty good! I haven't read a book about addictions or rehab, and I'm not sure how I would handle it, but I'd like to try. But I don't think this will be the one I read. Oh well, you can't love them all.

Oh, awh. :( I read a review on a different blog and they gave this book 5 stars, so I thought it'd be really good. But sometimes, you just can't get into a book. Sorry you didn't finish through.

you know, I have made that connection with books that I have not been able to finish. They have all had multiple POVs and they all jump back and forth between them too much for my taste. It seems to jerky for me, and I am never able to get into the book.

Thanks for your take on it.

I know how hard it is not to finish a book that I really wanted to like but just couldn't get into. I had not heard a lot about this one.
