Summary:In The Boyfriend App by Katie Sise, super-smart, somewhat geeky Audrey McCarthy can’t wait to get out of high school. Her father’s death and the transformation of her one-time BFF, Blake Dawkins, into her worst nightmare have her longing for the new start college will bring.

But college takes money. So Audrey decides she has to win the competition for the best app designed by a high schooler—and the $200,000 that comes with it. She develops something she calls the Boyfriend App, and suddenly she’s the talk of the school and getting kissed by the hottest boys around. But can the Boyfriend App bring Audrey true love?

My Thoughts: We are introduced to Audrey who has to deal with a lot of stuff. She’s dealing with the loss of her best friend (betrayed her) and her father (died). She also has a crush on one of her friends that complicates a lot of things.

Eee, I don’t know what I really thought about this one. It was weird at first. I had trouble with some of the lingo I guess. It was trying to relate to our time but they had to change names. HAHA. The lingo did throw me off a little bit, and I had to laugh at times.

But, I did enjoy the spark of romance between Audrey and Aiden. He was such a cute guy. He made me laugh and swoon at times.

Audrey also knows she needs money for college so she enters a contest and designs the perfect thing. A way for boys to fall in love with you. Couldn’t be more perfect, right? There were a few kinks in the app.  I’ll admit it, I would have loved to have this in high school. Heck, I’d even like it again now! LOL.

The Boyfriend App was a cute read. I really debated between giving it a 3 or 4, but it would probably rank out as a 3.5 if I gave gave half ratings.

Overall: Cute fun read. Perfect for a rainy day inside where you just want to read about a cute boy and at what lengths you could find to get him.

Cover: Like it. I like the colors and it’s cute.

What I’d Give It:

I'd use this app nowadays too but high school would have been very helpful as well. Someone should get on that!
